I’ve been putting off this post for so long because there’s just so many of Quince’s home goods I’ve tried since I first purchased from them back in 2019. And sitting down to write my thoughts on all of them seemed like a daunting task. But since I’ve collated all my thoughts on other Quince items (see my Quince Fine Jewelry Review, Quince All Things Linen Review, Quince Bags Review, and Quince Shoes Review) I figured it’s about time I put together my thoughts on Quince home items. So without further ado…
Bedding
European Linen Sheet set: This was one of the first things I reviewed from Quince (see my Quince Linen Sheet Set Review here), and I updated it last year when the fitted sheet got a hole last year. But this is with almost daily use for three years, and I’ve been told that it’s not uncommon for linen sheets to do that with constant use. I still think it’s a great buy for a wonderfully comfy set of sheets, so I repurchased it again and now rotate between two sets so that one set won’t wear down as much. I now use my ripped set as a backdrop for most of my flatlay pictures 😂. If you’re looking for linen sheets without a huge price commitment, I highly recommend these ones from Quince!
Classic Organic Percale sheet set: I got this set for our RV since I wanted to try something different. If you run hot then I recommend getting the organic cotton percale sheets. I had some from Brooklinen and these Quince ones feel exactly the same for a better price. I’ll update this review with how they wear (once we get more RV trips in lol).
100% cotton pillow protectors: These are good classic cotton pillow protectors. I got them since I had credit from Quince but if I didn’t I’d probably go with Amazon ones since they’re cheaper.
Silk pillowcase (see my original review of the Quince silk pillowcase here): I am a devoted silk pillowcase fan ever since my first review of the OG silk pillowcase Slip in 2018. I’ve also tried ones from Amazon, and comparing all three I think the OG is still a tad different than the other two in terms of texture. But between Amazon and Quince I much prefer the Quince one in terms of texture. In terms of actual materials used, all three are the same (100% mulberry silk of 22mm fabric weight). And I use the pillowcases from all three brands interchangeably. But I think in terms of value, Quince is clearly the winner. I now own 5 of these and have gifted numerous others. If I were only able to recommend one item from the bedding section of Quince, this would be it.
Premium down alternative pillow: I tried it but didn’t like it. I’m a firm pillow kind of gal and this wasn’t cutting it.
Bath
Turkish Classic Bath Towel Bundle (original Quince Bath Towel review here): This was also one of my first purchases from Quince, and I love these towels. They’re still as fluffy and plush as the day I got them. I do have to mention though that recently one of the towels from the set has started to fray (after four years) so there’s that. But in terms of value, I still think they’re a great buy.
Organic Turkish Waffle Bath Sheet Bundle: And if fluffy towels aren’t your thing, then these quick-drying organic cotton ones are also amazing. I love how big these towels are (larger than the classic bath towel) so there’s extra material for absorption. And as advertised they dry quickly. We use these in our RV where towel hanging space is limited and so we have to hang them on hooks. Oh hooks, a big fluffy towel doesn’t always completely dry after 24 hours but these do!
Turkish Cotton Bath Mat Bundle: These are the Bentley of bath mats. Seriously they’re so luxurious and lovely, and they better be for $64 a pair. When I first got them I couldn’t understand the price point, but once I used them I was a believer. Once you try these it’s hard to go back to a regular bath mat, and that’s probably why they’re always sold out. So get them while you can!
Organic Turkish Waffle Robe: This waffle robe is a nice light robe for when you need it. It won’t keep you warm but at least it’ll keep you covered. I think it runs TTS and is a great option for a light coverup.
Organic Luxe Waffle Shower Curtain: It’s great, it does it’s job, so what’re there more to say (though you still need to purchase a plastic liner separately—this is just for the pretty outside part).
Silk Scruncies: Ok so putting them in the Home Goods section is a bit of a stretch here. But I do see that Quince puts them in the “accessories” category for bath goods so I guess it applies. But I really love these scrunchies. I’ve purchased multiples since I share them with my daughter who is constantly losing them 🤦🏻♀️. I like the classic silk scrunchy but my first choice is definitely the newer silk skinny scrunchies. They’re like the Slip ones but at a fraction of the price (thus hurting a lot less when they go missing lol). My fragile and thinning hair thanks me for using gentle silk scrunchies and honestly I can’t go back to a regular hair tie (though I’ve converted to using these biodegradable hair ties for my daughter since she does lose so many of them—and at least these could theoretically biodegrade if they fell onto the ground somewhere). Plus using silk scrunchies are less likely to give you that weird after-ponytail bend in your hair when you take out the hair tie.
Kitchen
Linen napkins: I got these with the intention of replacing our household use of paper towels and paper napkins. But in all honesty, we don’t use these linen napkins since they’re not really absorbent and a hassle to wash. I plan to try out the organic airy gauze napkins or the organic cotton napkins since these seem more absorbent.
Stagg EKG Electric Kettle: I actually got this as a birthday present for my husband who’s been wanting this electric kettle for awhile now. We were using (and still do) the Bonavita electric kettle for our pour over coffees in the morning, but my husband really wanted to see what the hype of the Fellow kettle was about. And I have to say for pour over coffees I prefer the Fellow’s Stagg kettle because the 1) the water comes out slower in the spout, 2) it can hold the desired water temperature for over an hour, 3) It heats up water faster than the Bonavita, and 4) the handle is more comfortable to hold. We still use the Bonavita for tea (we set it at a lower temp than for coffee) and it’s good for that since the water flows out faster on the Bonavita.
5-Ply Stainless Steel 3 Quart Sauté Pan: I was very lucky to be gifted some All Clad Stainless Steel pans from a friend as a wedding present. So I haven’t purchased any stainless steel pans for almost 14 years now. But I don’t have a saute pan, and I just needed something bigger for some of our meals. And I have to say I really love this Italian-made stainless steel pan from Quince. I think it’s just as good as my All Clad pans but at a fraction of the price.
5-Ply Stainless Steel Frying Pan: And because I liked the saute pan so much I decided to get a smaller stainless steel frying pan as well. It works well, I love it, and I’m glad I got it.
Essential Japanese Damascus Steel 3.5" Paring Knife: We got a set of Shun knives (Japanese steel knives) for our wedding so I haven’t purchased knives in a good 13+ years. However I end up using the paring knife a lot so it gets worn down quicker, so I decided to get a second paring knife from Quince’s line of Japanese steel knives. And I’m super impressed because they feel exactly the same. The knife cuts very well and is exactly like the Shun one that costs twice as much. If I ever need to replace a knife I’m for sure going to start replacing it with the ones from Quince.
Jean Dubost Laguiole Steak Knives (Set of 6): We had some old steak knives from Amazon that got quite beat up because we put it in the dishwasher (and it had wooden handles). So we got this set with acrylic handles and I love it. The knife is on the lighter side (in terms of weight) because it’s acrylic but it cuts well and I prefer it over my old ones. At least I don’t risk a splinter when using these steak knives. They’re currently out of stock but if you join the waitlist they do stock periodically.
Other
Rug: I mentioned in my Quince review here that I tried out their rug. And I stand by my first review that if I were to get another rug for the house I’d go with Ruggable again since those are machine washable. Once a regular rug gets dirty beyond repair you end up throwing it out, and that seems to be such a waste. I still have the original Quince rug and it’s not that dirty so we still have it next to our back door. If you do end up getting a rug from Quince I highly recommend getting rug grippers to keep the rug in place and from sliding around.
100% New Zealand Wool Dryer Balls: And last but definitely not least are these wool dryer balls for laundry. You don’t have to get them from Quince but I highly HIGHLY recommend getting them if you use the dryer. Don’t use chemically enhanced dryer sheets. These dryer balls are all natural and help to reduce static, as well as dry your clothes faster. The more balls you have, the faster it dries. I have at least 10 by now, but use 4-5 at a given time (the rest are usually hidden in the clean clothes waiting to be folded lol). My oldest balls are at least a decade old and they never wear out. You can refresh them by washing them in the washing machine, but I haven’t really needed to do that yet. Seriously if you only buy one thing from this list, please buy this—it’s better for the environment and your health.
